OOCL cancels Asia-Europe sailings after Lunar New Year holiday period

HONG Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), now a Cosco unit, has announced Asai-Europe sailing cancellations over the Lunar New Year holiday period.

OOCL said in a statement that the cancellations have been made 'in response to the expected low demand in China after the Lunar New Year holiday'.

Asia - North Europe Service: Loop 1: Westbound: ETA Shanghai on February 10 in Week 6 and Eastbound: ETA Rotterdam on March 15 in Week 11.

Loop 3: Westbound: ETA Ningbo on February 9 in Week 6 and Eastbound: ETA Antwerp on March 15 in Week 11.

Loop 4: Westbound: ETA Xingang on February 7 in Week 6 and Eastbound: ETA Dunkirk on March 18 in Week 12.

Asia - West Mediterranean Service: WM1: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on February 11 in Week 7 and Eastbound: ETA La Spezia on March 15 in Week 11.

WM2: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on February 5 in Week 6 and Eastbound: ETA Valencia on March 12 in Week 11.

AAS: Westbound: ETA Shanghai on February 6 in Week 6 and Eastbound: ETA Trieste on March 11 in Week 11.

OOCL said in a statement that for service recovery arrangements from the AAS blank sailing, the CMA CGM Volga (VLG) 399W/400E ETA that was scheduled to arrive at Shanghai on February 6 in the EM1 service will add calls to Koper by adjusting its own port rotation as follows: Shanghai, Ningbo, Pusan, Shekou, Singapore, Port Said West, Koper, Piraeus, Izmit, Ambarli, Constanza, Odessa, Ambarli, Port Said West, Jeddah, Port Kelang and returing to Pusan.

Asia - East Mediterranean and Black Sea Service: EM1: Westbound: ETA Pusan on February 17 in Week 7 and Eastbound: ETA Istanbul on March 22 in Week 12.

EM2: Westbound: ETA Qingdao on February 14 in Week 7 amd Eastbound: ETA Ashdod on March 12 in Week 11.
